CHOOSING TILE

Choosing tile can be so tricky and overwhelming, and for so many years it seems that every renovation project in the world defaulted to subway tile. Subway tile is undoubtedly a classic and certainly still a favorite of mine, but I think it is time to branch out to other options as we usher in the post pandemic way of life. The good news is that there are so many online shops available now I am going to share a few of my favorites. The image shown in this post is a selection from cletile.com . The handmade quality provides wonderful texture and the soft whisper of green adds to aged look. I would also recommend ziatile.com fireclaytile.com tilebar.com and thetileshop.com . perigold.com also has a small selection of luxury tiles. Whether you are interested in ceramic tile, porcelain tile or concrete tile, there is no question that your tile choice can transform a space and even become the focal point of the room. If you are worried about price, consider using the more expensive tiles in a small section of your room, or as an accent tile. I prefer to use the smallest grout line possible to enhance the look of the tile and also avoid the the dreaded effect of aging grout that shows wear and tear over time.
