About Angela Lutzker

Angela Lutzker is the founder and principal designer at Vita Lucia Design Studio. She received her MA in Interior Design and Museum Exhibition Design from the Corcoran College of Art + Design at George Washington University and the Smithsonian Institute. Her coursework included the study of 18th, 19th & 20th-century decorative arts in Paris through the Parsons School of Design.

Angela has a deep belief that thoughtful design can transform one’s quality of life through function and visual beauty, and contribute to overall wellness. She did her master’s thesis work on art therapy as it relates to design, and studied the principles of a healing environment as well as color psychology. Angela most enjoys the collaborative process with her clients to create design solutions that are well-edited, balanced, and personal to her client’s needs and lifestyles.

She draws inspiration from her travels as well as nature, architecture, sculpture, light, and color, and uses these elements as a springboard for her design concepts. Angela feels that all successful art and design combines attributes that are rooted in history, which create a sense of nostalgia, along with new and fresh attributes that promote excitement and hope for the future.

She has worked with hundreds of clients across the country including the District of Columbia, Virginia, Maryland, New York, California, Ohio, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. She has designed both large and small-scale residential projects and vacation rentals, as well as commercial projects that include retail stores, doctor’s offices, financial offices, and fitness studios.
